How RP Treatment works
Due to the highly complex nature of retinitis pigmentosa, a series of intensive treatments is required to obtain the best results. Treatment is given for two weeks, each time for five consecutive days. Patients receive TWO sets of acupuncture (30 minutes each) per day. The interval between the two acupuncture treatments should be at least one to one and a half hours. We incorporate micro-acupuncture. AcuNova and electro-acupuncture for optimal results.
During the first week of treatment, we can see how the patient responds to acupuncture and whether it is reasonable to continue treatment with the second week.
In most degenerative eye diseases such as Retinitis Pigmentosa, it is necessary to repeat the treatment regularly (approx. 2 x per year) in order to stabilize the result obtained.
